10 Great Tips to Clearing Your Skin

1. Wash your face twice a day and pat it dry. Over-washing will dry out your skin and will cause your pores to produce more oil.

2. Keep hair products off your face.

3. Wash your pillowcase often because grease and bacteria piles up.

4. Try to keep your hands away from your face. It doesn't matter if your hands are "clean".

5. Make sure your hair is away from your face when you sleep.

6. Drink lots of water.

7. Get at least eight hours of good sleep because this is when your body "repairs" itself.

8. Always wear sunscreen when out in the sun.

9. Eat more fruits and vegetables.

10. Try drinking Green Tea. It helps detoxify the body and relieve stress, which is a major causing factor of acne.


Growing up with acne-prone skin was the hardest thing I had to go through. Waking up extra early so I could cover my face with with pounds of foundation, seeing the dermatologist only to have him prescribe me some cream that burns half of my face off with minimal results. After 6 years of going through that pain did I realize, who needs medication?
